I was sewing one night and the storms were causing the power to flicker. And I said if the power goes off I'll be making ruffles by the moon. That sounds good to me as a name for my new shop.
My first named Etsy shop was the painted ACEOs. I may if I have time paint some more for this new shop. We will see.
I am obsessed with making clothes. And my love crochet.
I have been learning to knit and I do that on my breaks from sewing.
When I was 12 I learned crochet and knit. My hands were to little to do a good job of knitting. But the crochet needle I could handle. I always wanted to finish what I started and I have started that with learning to knit.
My Mom and Grandmom sewed and I would watch and learn what I could and the love continues.
I also love using a scroll saw it's the coolest tool.

I am real handmade. I am ODMC= owner,designer, maker, curator of what I do. I have no plans to mass produce anything I do. I don't see that as true handmade.
If I can't sleep I get up and work on my art until my hands cramp, rest and start again.
I have been known to work 20 hours within 24. I do try to keep it to 15 hours in 24 as my max. I have to take breaks to give my hands breaks, then start again.
Your package comes from me, I write the note I send, I put the address on the envelope/box. I am the shipping and handling department.
I am the one who worries over your package from start to finish.
I am the one who, if you sent me a note, you get to go straight to the owner to talk to. I answer you. I deal with what needs taken care of.
